As this year draws to a close, we are saddened to hear of the continuing devastation to Australians due to the wild weather and flooding. For our customers over in Western Australia, we regret to inform that this currently includes major delivery delays and increases in freight costs. 

Most Letterboxes Direct products are shipped via Star Track Express. An update released on their website earlier this week read;

“StarTrack Express items sent to Western Australia from the east coast of Australia may take up to an additional two weeks to be delivered. 

Heavy rain and flooding have closed the Sydney-to-Perth rail line. The Melbourne-to-Adelaide rail link was closed due to damage caused by a train derailment and reopened on 21 November, however delays are expected due to a backlog of freight.”

We still wish to ship our letterboxes and other products to Western Australia and at the current time still provide the option to do so via our website. As some of our custom letterboxes take about 3 weeks to manufacture (and now about 3 weeks to deliver as well), your patience is greatly appreciated and we urge you to place your orders with plenty of time to spare. Feel free to contact us before you order so we can provide you our best estimates based on the information we have at the time.

Our hope is that we will see things return to normal in the very near future. In the meantime, we will continue to be in discussion with Star Track for updates and seek alternate options. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions in relation to the delivery of your letterbox.
