Rustique Letterbox

We have installed our new letterbox! It is all we expected, and more. It looks attractive, and have been told it compliments the look of the house well. I had planned to mount it on a 600 x 600 x 50 paver from Bunnings, but inspected the paver and thought it would not provide sufficient stability. So I poured 2 x 20 kg bags of quick set concrete. I must have dug the hole too deep, the platform was too low, so I raised the letterbox on some 40 mm thick pavers, and used 10mm x 100mm masonry bolts to secure it. I anticipate drilling a hole or three in the base for water drainage. So now we have a letterbox square to the footpath, stable and secure. Some native plants provide the landscaping, and it fits into our native garden like it has always been there.
